My traveling companion treated us to the most amazing day trip around the Scottish Highlands where we got to take the Jacobite Steam Train (aka the Hogwarts Express) from Mallaig to Fort William as well as a lengthy tour through Highlands.
It was a long day on the bus, but so worth it to see all the amazing sights of the countryside. We started off by leaving the city via traversing the Forth Bridges, up through Perth, and nearly making it all the way to Loch Ness before heading due east toward Glenfinnan and Mallaig where we started the train ride. The sights were amazing and we met a lot of great people along the way!
Something needs to be said about our amazing tour guide, OWEN!!!! not only did he get us through a punishing schedule on time, but he expertly navigated some hairy Highland roads without missing a beat in his very detailed Jacobite history narrative.
